Project overview
In the fall of 2024 Vecino, a fine dining restaurant in Detroit serving authentic Mexican cuisine, sent their bar manager and a small creative team to Oaxaca to tour with Banhez Mecal. On the 5 day trip we toured the farms, met the farmers and the families, learned the history and process of their mezcal (and enjoyed a fair bit of it), and of course ate some delicious food. The purpose of this trip was for Vecino to be able to bring the taste to Mexcio to Detroit, and what better way to do that than to learn from the source. Tyler Appel was the lead for video, and Wyn and Co was responsible for photography of the trip.
Results
Vecino was able to have a catalog of more than 300 images and multiple social-focused reels to share with their audience and help establish themselves as a premiere, authentic restaurant in Detroit.
